This hotel is situated in Chinatown only a few minutes walk from Petaling Street market, Central Market, Mydin discount store and in sight of PUDU Sentral bus station across the road. (buses direct to/from KLIA every hour or so for 15 MYR, better than KLIA Express IMHO when staying here) Every member of Ancasa's staff I met was very welcoming, helpful and professional from pool attendants, doormen, cleaners, reception teams etc. The 9th floor room I stayed in was clean and tidy with TV (some satellite channels) a fridge, kettle (tea/coffee) etc. The armchair was worn and stained and the shower drained slowly but reception staff noted my comments and maintenance arranged. There was plenty of hot water with good shower pressure. Wifi was strong although there was some difficulty logging on. I was given another password and the problem was solved. There were ample electrical sockets in the room. Security is good; uniformed doormen, keycard lift use etc. The restaurant was fairly large and appeared to be well run with a good menu but I did not have the opportunity to take any meals there. The swimming pool is about 25m x 5m so adequate for a relaxing short swim. Towels are provided and there a couple of sun-loungers. It should be remembered that Chinatown is not an upmarket area, it is somewhat rundown, although I found it to be safe and it can be a bargain hunters dream. There were plenty of places to enjoy the local food, some great others not so! That said, there are two metro stations within 10 min walk of the hotel for a short ride to KL Sentral and the many transport connections, shopping and high-end eateries there. I would happily recommend the Ancasa to friends and relatives for a stay in KL.

Great location. Very convenient to shopping and restaurants. Lack of laundry facility. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Always willing to lend a helping hand when you needed it. It’s the staff who have made our stay a lovely experience.

While the staff are amazing the housekeeping needs some attention.All the 3 nights we stayed there we had to either ask for toilet papers,fill the shampoo and annoying towels , a wonderful hotel but please pay attention to housekeeping. A suggestion: why do you have smart TV but blocked ?

We came in the hotel for 2 nights stay, on our trip Singapore - Bali- Kuala Lumpur - Europe. The staff is TERRIBLE. They all have blank faces, they don't even smile. They act like we are staying here for free and they are above us. They are not kind at all. Everything is so difficult, I had to go down 3 times to ask for someone to come and check the electricity in the room. They are sarcastic and rude. Especially the receptionists. THEY DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH. WE DON'T UNDERSTAND A WORD FROM WHAT THEY ARE SAYING. Their energy is so low and ugly, it makes you want to leave immediately. There is MOLD in the shower and on the shower curtain. The rooms smell of course - because the window is not opening. We had to buy air freshener. THERE IS NO HOT WATER. My friend got a cold because she took a shower and went for a breakfast in the dining area, where the AC is below 20 C. I'm writing this from my hotel room, counting the hours until I leave tomorrow. I'm first time in Kuala Lumpur, and I will never come back again. If you have to stay in this city, please look for a good hotel that will be CLEAN, with HOT WATER, and the staff will be nice. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, TOO BAD I CAN'T GIVE YOU 0 STARS HERE.

Numerous times staying here and they has always been a pleasant one. Quick check-in process, staff are very welcoming and friendly. Although there are only 4 lifts, waiting time is usually not that long. Certain part of the room are showing signs of old but still usable. Room felt clean as well. But window was not properly sealed & shut so there was sound leak. Walking distance to Petaling Street. Road in front can be quite jammed but still okay. I will definitely come back to this hotel.
